These are the rules for playing RafikiRaffles. They cover who can enter, what you pay, how winners are picked, and when we give money back. Please read them before you buy a ticket — buying a ticket means you accept them.
RafikiRaffles (the "Site") is operated by RafikiRaffles ("we", "us"), Nairobi, Kenya. You can reach us at hello@taji.co.ke.
RafikiRaffles sells entries to prize draws. Buying a ticket does not guarantee a prize — winners are chosen by a random draw. By buying a ticket you agree to these Terms of Service.
If we find an entry that breaks this rule, we void it and refund the ticket to the M-Pesa number used.
Cash tickets start at KSh 10; gift and Crown tickets start at KSh 20. Cash awards shown go to one winner per tier; they are not guaranteed returns. Current ticket prices are:
A fixed 25% of the value of every ticket sold on the Site — whatever prize you play for — is added to the Crown jackpot. That is why the Crown grows with every play.
The Crown is drawn at the same time as the other raffles and has 1 winner who receives the entire jackpot. The jackpot amount that counts is the one published at the moment the draw closes.
Ticket money is not refundable once your ticket is confirmed, because the draw is already running. We do refund you in full, back to the M-Pesa number you paid from, when:
Refunds are sent within 7 working days of the decision. You can ask us not to enter your payment into a draw that has not started yet, and we will refund it.
You agree not to use bots, scripts, multiple SIMs, stolen numbers or any other trick to get entries, to interfere with the Site or a draw, or to resell tickets. We may block a payment number or void entries that look abusive, and we may hand the matter to the Kenyan authorities.
Tell us about a problem with a draw within 7 days of the draw, and about a payment problem within 7 days of the payment, at hello@taji.co.ke. We reply within 14 days. If you are still unhappy, you can complain to the Kenyan authority that licenses prize draws.
Our decision on the result of a draw is final, except where the law says otherwise.
We run the Site carefully and keep payment records so that draws can be checked. To the extent Kenyan law allows, we are not liable for indirect or special losses, or for losses caused by events outside our control (network outages, M-Pesa or Paystack downtime). Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Kenyan law.
We may update these Terms. The version published on this page applies to tickets bought after it is posted. Tickets already bought stay under the terms that applied when you paid.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the Kenyan courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. If one clause is found invalid, the rest still stands.
